The Streets and Sanitation Department take care of the City's streets and alleys (general maintenance, snow removal, painting streets and street signs) we also take care of the city's garbage. We have our own baler and landfill we can take most trash except asbestos and non friable asbestos. We recycle used oil, grass and wood.

Street and Sanitation Crew

Sanitation Fees.

1.        RESIDENTIAL:     $16.00 per month.  Service will be one day a week from November 1 to April 1 and two days a week from April 2 to October 31 subject to additional collection during the winter as determined by the Sanitation Department Supervisor.

2.         COMMERCIAL / INDUSTRIAL:

A.  Limited Commercial:   (Apply at City Hall)   $30.00 per bin per month;

B.  Light Commercial:  (Apply at City Hall)  $45.00 per bin per month;

C.  Small Commercial:   $65.00 per bin per month.  Service will be three days per week.

D.  Large Commercial/Restaurant:  $140.00 per bin per business per month.  Service will be six days a week.

E.  Industrial:  $240.00 per 20 cubic yard roll off per month; extra service will cost $240.00 per service.  Service will be once per month for 20 cubic yard roll off.

3.            ROLL OFF CONTAINERS:

A.  20 Yard Cubic Roll Off:  $25.00 per week rental for 20 cubic yard roll offs.   $200.00 disposal fee for 20 cubic yards roll off.  (Amount can be prorated for partial fill.)

G.  Construction Bin:  $250.00 per month plus $25.00 per week per 20 cubic yard construstion bin.  Service will be once per week.

H.  Grass:  $85.00 per bin per month.  Service will be three days per week.

4.             MAJOR APPLIANCES:  $20.00 each for all major appliances, including, but not limited to, "white goods", refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, water heaters and water softeners.

5.             EXTRA PICKUP:  $40.00 per load plus $6.00 per cubic yard for any one ton or larger vehicle.

6.             TIRES:  $2.50 per tire for up to 16.0"; $5.00 per tire for 16.6" and larger; $12.00 per tire for any type of tractor or semi-truck tires, and $75.00 for scraper tires.

7.             LANDFILL TIPPING: 

A.  Residential:   $5.00 per cubic yard.

B.  Non-Residential:  $15.00 per cubic yard.

C.  Contractor:  $15.00 per cubic yard.

D.  Burn Barrel:  $5.00 per 55 gallon barrel or less.

8.             WOOD CHIPS:

A.  $50.00 per pickup load.

B.  $6.00 per 40 lb. bag.

9.             COMPOST:  $40.00 per 3.5 yards

10.            FILL DIRT:

A.  $1.50 per cubic yard if loaded by the City.

B.  $0.50 per cubic yard if loaded by the Customer.

11.            GRASS, TREE LIMBS, ASPHALT, CONCRETE:

No Charge if taken to the baler facility.
