FLAG DAY TOURNAMENT
The
golf course will be having a
Flag
Day Tournament
on July 4th
which is
open to the public.
Anyone can play in the tournament.
The cost of the tournament is $10.00 and the
money will be paid back to the winner(s) of the tournament.
As always, there are
also greens fees if you are not an annual member,
and cart rental costs.
The purpose of a flag
day tournament is to see how long you can play before you have to place your
flag. You are scored by taking the par for the course and adding your
handicap (if you have one) to make the total number of strokes that you play
before you place your flag.
It's a fun little
event for the 4th of July and everyone is welcome
to come out and play.
We

bent grass and half of the course
in the tree area.
Newly renovated driving
range with expanded tee box and new seeding.
- Fees-Weekday green fees for non-members are $20.00 for 18 holes & $15.00 for 9 holes during peak season. Weekend green fees for non-members are $25.00 for 18
holes and $17.00 for 9 holes during peak season.
- Driving Range-Yes, hitting balls from grass
- Training Facilities-Putting green, sand & chipping area
Directions-From Torrington, take 15th Street going West for 1 mile outside city limits
and course is off to left.

quarterly or semi-annual based on four (4) hole-in-ones per year at the
Cottonwood Golf Course.

Junior Golf will
be instructed in four (4) age flights.
TIGER
WOODS FLIGHT: Ages 5-8 will be at 8:00 am on all five Monday's in June,
2009.
PHIL
MICKELSON FLIGHT: Ages 9-11 will be at 9:00 am on all five Monday's
in June, 2009.
JACK
NICHOLAS FLIGHT: Ages 12-14 will be at 10:00 am on all five
Monday's in June, 2009.
BEN
HOGAN FLIGHT: Ages 15-16 will be at 11:00 am on all five Monday's
in June, 2009.

June 29, 2009 we will schedule
a trophy presentation and lunch will be provided for all registered junior
golfers. Trophies will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each flight.
